Who We Are
Fine wooden structures speak with the heart of the master carpenter who constructed them, with obvious respect for the soul of their timbers.

Owner/Timber FramerHaving a forester for a father, Evan’s passion for wood began at a young age. Walking, camping, canoeing and working in the forest is in his blood.
Evan worked for years as a forest firefighter for the Ministry of Natural Resources - only to sell-out to the corporate world and put his Commerce Degree from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa to work. In a past life, Evan worked for 5 years as a business consultant, as well as a project manager for biomass heating systems in far-north communities
Realizing his passion lies within the forests and working with his hands, Evan took the dive back into the woods and successfully completed the Heritage Carpentry and Joinery Program at Algonquin College’s Perth Campus. Being inspired by a great teacher and a great community of local timber framers in Perth, Ontario, Evan has devoted his life to designing, cutting and raising beautiful frames that act as reflections of his life work that will outlive his existence.
